MINNEAPOLIS, July 14, 2026 — The Zones of Regulation is proud to announce its official certification as a Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) through the U.S. Small Business Administration, marking a meaningful milestone in the organization’s more than 20-year history.
The Zones of Regulation was founded by occupational therapist Leah Kuypers, who developed the framework from her work supporting learners with their regulation needs. What began as an idea rooted in her own practice has grown into a globally recognized framework used by educators, therapists, caregivers, and learners around the world.
More than two decades later, Kuypers continues to lead The Zones as Founder and CEO, guiding its ongoing evolution while remaining grounded in the organization’s mission to help people develop lifelong regulation skills and create environments where everyone can thrive.
The WOSB certification formally recognizes The Zones of Regulation as a woman-owned and operated small business and represents another milestone in the continued growth of the organization.
